our sessions

45 minutes of fun

Our sessions last for 45 minutes with frequent drinks breaks. We change activity every five minutes to keep the Tots engaged.

Our venues have indoor and outdoor access, meaning that Tot’s Tennis is on week in week out.

All year round

We have all the rackets and equipment with us, so just bring yourself and a drink or snack, and we will do the rest. Stretchy clothes to allow movement is always helpful and shoes that can bounce, skip and hop!

just bring yourself

Parents are coaches to0

The parents are just as much involved as the Tots, and sometimes have just as much fun.

We will try to fill the sessions with children of similar ages, but we are very good at adapting each activity to your child's development.

Mixed ages/develpment

Faqs

I’m worried that my child will be behind the other children, who look bigger and have been playing for longer.

Children develop at different rates. We are used to running classes with mixed abilities and ages and can often minimise and maximise an exercise to fit suite. Don’t forget that parents partake in Tennis Tots with there little ones so you can help them along the way.

When we started Tennis Tots we aimed for 30 minutes, as we thought this would be enough but every week we overrun because the kids were having too much fun. We have frequent breaks and change up the activity within 5 minutes to keep them engaged. This said, there will be times when they are not feeling it as much, which is absolutely normal; just take a break.

45 minutes is a long time for my child.

Will they be actually learning proper tennis techniques?

Yes. It may appear like a kid’s party, but we are smuggling in tennis techniques at every opportunity. They are like sponges at this age, so we try to develop good habits early. Most of our 3 year olds can hit forehand and backhands while getting back into a ready position. They can also rally with other kids on the floor and throw a ball with good biomechanics. Our aim is that when they graduate from Tennis Tots, they will be able to rally, serve and play points, albeit on a mini-court with softer balls.
