Parental involvement is critical to our sessions, and we find that mums, dads or grandparents have just as much fun as their children. We will fill the space with footballs, bean bags, hoops and cones to slow down and simplify complex skills.

Walking to 2 years: Your little one will learn to move like a tennis player, which is where our logo comes from, as tennis players move sideways and diagonally like a crab.

They will learn how to throw balls correctly to develop the coordination for serving in the future, as well as receiving and striking skills. They will establish dynamic movement and hand-eye coordination and, most importantly, will be able to listen to and follow instructions.

2 years to 4 years: Your little one will start to rally with parents and other kids, firstly on the floor with a big ball, then with balloons. They will be able to hit forehands, get back into a ready position, and start mixing between forehand and backhand. They will learn to throw with power and accuracy. They will have developed dynamic movement and can give and receive a projectile on the move.

4 years to 6 years: At this age, Tennis Tots can hit forehands and backhands sequentially and start serving to start a rally. They will be able to rally with coaches and parents and begin to learn the basics of scoring and competing. At this age, Tots will be introduced to volleying and overheads.

6 years plus: Your little star will be able to rally and serve and play points with coaches and parents. They will start to compete with their peers and learn about tennis scoring and the spirit of fair play. During this phase, we will be looking to transition your child into a local Tennis Club with a junior programme to continue their development.
